Old Skool

This is something the IDM used to teach suits. I don't know if they
still do:

The most important thing in a mailing is who you are talking to
Half as important as that is the timing of the mailing (thanks hayes)
Half as important as that is what you are offering
Half as important as that is the format you use
And half as important as that.... is the idea you come up with.

Yeah.

So how come it's always our fault when a pack goes tits up?

Gobshites.

You missed out the timing of the mailing. Should be no. 2, I think (list, timing, offer.)

I took some charity DM books on Honeymoon with me when I was writing at Bluefrog.

When I came back, the MD, Mark Phillips, asked me what I'd learnt from them.

That my copy only matters about 2%, I said. I think he despaired but it's true.

Well done for your Scamp post, by the way. That's why I'm here. I left just as long a post in response to his 'play to lose' tip. Go back and you'll see what I mean.

Keep up the good work.

Ta hayes.

Rumour has it that Mr Phillips pays more attention to copy heads than copy itself.

:D

Also. Charity DM books on honeymoon. Lol. That's class. What did your wife think?
